Kristen is a 4th year (Senior) at the University of Iowa majoring in HR Management and Marketing with certificates in Event Management and Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy, originally from Muscatine, IA. Kristen joined CAB in Fall 2021 and has been part of the organization for eight semesters. Kristen joined CAB because she was looking for an organization to get involved with and knew she wanted to work in events. CAB was the perfect combination of the two! 

Kristen serves as the Executive Director for the Campus Activities Board. As our Exec Director, she is in charge of overseeing and representing the Campus Activities Board as a whole and working to maintain our position within the University of Iowa and Division of Student Life. However, Kristen has had experience working as an Event Director and the Admin of Production. She joined leadership because she wanted to get more involved with CAB and loves event planning. The members keep her coming back and she loves to see how CAB connects to others on campus.

Of all the events CAB puts on during the year, Haunted House is Kristen’s favorite! She says “This is the event where I first got to know other members of CAB, and every year I get to know all of the new members. Everyone is so creative, and I love seeing what ideas they come up with.” Her favorite memory from being a part of CAB was setting up Haunted House as it was fun to see everyone get so creative and work together, it’s always her favorite part of the year!
