Isabel is a 3rd year (Junior) at the University of Iowa majoring in Elementary Education with endorsements in reading and middle school education, originally from Marions, IA. Isabel joined CAB in Spring of 2023 and has been a part of the organization for five semesters! Isabel joined CAB because she saw the events being done and wanted to help plan them. She wanted to do more on campus and a good friend of hers suggested joining CAB!

Isabel is one of the Event Directors for the Campus Activities Board. The Event Director position is in charge of the planning and execution of CAB events, this includes our weekly smaller scale events as well as one of our three big events. Isabel wanted to work on leadership because she wanted to do more for an organization she cared deeply about. She looks forward to the planning and logistics of each event and then getting to reflect on them after and find out how to do better next time. Isabel loves getting to pick out prizes for her events and likes to get her friends in on all the fun! 

Of all the events CAB puts on during the year, Haunted House is Isabel’s favorite! She says “The first Haunted House I took part in (Fall 2023) was INCREDIBLE! The event directors on it did an amazing job and were supportive of every CAB member helping.” Her favorite memory being a part of CAB was 2024 Haunted House, she was the sole event director on this event and was so proud of herself and all of the Cabbies for their hard work!
